"Every time I look at the pictures she took on my wedding day, I can feel the excitement... She did such a spectacular job at capturing every moment!" - Karen
Every couple has a unique story to be told, and my goal is to help tell that story with
beautiful images. When I photograph your wedding, I'll be there from the moment the bride starts her hair and make-up, to the send-off of the bride & groom at the very end of the day. This is one of the most important days of your life, and I want to help capture every precious moment and detail for you to cherish forever.
Choosing the right wedding photographer is an important decision! Let's get together and have tea - I'd love to meet you and talk about your love story and your ideal wedding photos.
Beautiful photography to capture your happiest day.
A blend of contemporary and photojournalistic photography.
Frequently Asked Questions by Brides & Grooms
How would you describe your photography style?
I have a very soft, warm style of photography. Very much a blend between photojournalistic and contemporary styles. While I do have articificial lighting equipment just-in-case, I tend to use natural light as much as possible. Sunlight is my best friend, and I work warm rays into each portrait I can. I take a mix of candid and posed photos. I'll edit the photos with a softer, vintage tone, and sometimes throw some black & white shots in there too!
Do you prefer indoor or outdoor weddings?
I am a huge fan of outdoor weddings! Like I mentioned above, I love natural light. I've photographed weddings in backyards, at state parks, in orchards, at vinyards and ranches, and a variety of other beautiful outdoor settings. While I can photograph indoor weddings, outdoors are my favorites. It doesn't even have to be sunny. One of my favorite weddings had fog all over the hills.
Do you offer prints and albums?
Yes. I have a few different package options (contact me for more details on those), a couple of which include albums. I can design a number of different types of albums: sign-in books, storybook albums, and flushmount albums. Prints are also available. Once you receive all your wedding photos you can decide what you would like printed and I'll send you the details!
How many images will we receive?
A lot! I don't want you to have to pick and choose just a few photos from your amazing day. When I photograph your wedding you'll receive all the photos I captured (minus any outtakes, like blinks and test shots). That usually works out to about 100 photos an hour. I typically will be at your wedding for 8-10 hours, so expect 800-1,000 photos - probably more!
Can you also take our engagement photos?
Absolutely. In fact, I highly recommend it. An engagement session is a great way to get to know each other, and for you to get comfortable with my photography direction and style. In addition, you can use the engagement photos for a sign-in album at your wedding, or to print and hand out to guests with favors!
What is your favorite part of the wedding day?
I love the time I get to spend just photographing the bride & groom. Many of the brides & grooms I work with will opt for a first look and I LOVE this time! It's so special to get to spend an hour with the bride & groom documenting their love.
I have a lot of DIY details at my wedding - can you photograph those?
DIY details? YES PLEASE. I'm a DIY girl myself, and I love details of all kinds. I could spend hours photographing little details. Whatever is important to you, I'll make sure to capture.
Where are you located?
I live in Lodi, California. But I'll travel almost anywhere in Northern California! Don't live in Northern California? Not to worry - I love traveling to new, exciting destinations. Let's chat about possible travel expenses and discounts for your wedding.
What equipment do you use?
I shoot on two Canon 5d Mark II's. My favorite lenses to use are the 50mm and the 135mm; and my macro lens for little details! I also have a traditional wide angle lens, and a zoom lens, so I'm prepared to capture every type of shot. I'll also bring external flashes with me for those times when the natural light isn't bright enough.
